White Rabbit Residency – 2013

White Rabbit is a week-long artist residency at Red Clay Farm, five minutes from the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia.  Artists are free to create site-specific installations anywhere on the land.  The residency ends with a public festival with performances and outdoor exhibits of the resulting works.  This experience was like summer camp for artists with amazing community, meals and fun activities – like creating a giant collaborative sculpture on the Bay of Fundy and watching it be washed away as the tide came in.

I was fascinated by the Bay of Fundy and the changing tides.  I created a piece in the creek on the farm referencing human digestion and relating it to the fluctuating of the tides.
